Achane is a supremely talented running back. He's also in the final year of his contract. The Pro Bowl RB is coming off a season in which he ran for 1,350 yards (5.7 yards per carry) and eight touchdowns while adding 67 catches for 488 yards and four more scores. The year prior, he ran for 907 yards and six TDs and added 78 catches for 592 yards and six more touchdowns. Clearly, he's one of the best dual-threat RBs in football. What kind of trade value does that have? It likely depends on whether an acquiring team thinks it can get Achane signed to a contract extension. But right now, the Dolphins have a logical path to follow, and that's totally clearing out the contracts that are either too onerous or already on their way out anyway.
