If you’re hitting freezing screens or crashes in MLB The Show 26 while playing Conquest or Moments, you’re not alone. The culprit is usually a mix of UI rendering lag, server sync issues, and tutorial glitches. Luckily, there are quick fixes to get you back in the game.

1. Bypass the "Goals" Menu Bug in Conquest

Freezes often happen if you open the map goals inside Conquest.

  • Do this instead: Skip the “Goals” submenu.
  • Go straight into the Conquest menu, select your map, and launch directly. This avoids the crash caused by overloaded UI rendering.

2. Launch Moments Directly from the Main Menu

Navigating through Diamond Dynasty menus can overload the cache and trigger crashes.

  • Quick fix: Back out of Diamond Dynasty completely.
  • From the main landing screen, scroll down to the standalone Moments menu. Launch your Team Affinity or program Moments from here.

3. Turn On Auto Bullpen Warm-Up

A persistent bug freezes the game mid‑inning when substituting pitchers.

  • Go to Gameplay Settings from the main menu before entering Diamond Dynasty.
  • Toggle Auto Bullpen Warm-Up ON.
  • This bypasses the bullpen render, letting you insert relievers instantly without freezing.

4. Slow Down Menu Scrolling

Fast navigation through Squad Builder or Pitcher Select can crash the game because player models aren’t fully loaded.

  • Tip: Pause briefly on a player’s name. Wait for the 3D card to render before opening their player card or selecting them.

5. Reset the Tutorial Flag Bug

Hidden tutorial prompts can freeze single-player modes if your settings are glitched.

  • Go to Settings → Tutorial Tips and turn it ON.
  • Click each tutorial category and toggle them OFF individually.
  • This hard-resets the visual elements causing UI lockups.

6. Adjust System & Hardware Settings

If software tweaks don’t help, your hardware settings may be causing crashes.

  • Turn off Motion Blur in-game.
  • On Xbox Series X/S or PS5, disable 120Hz output, VRR, and HDR.
  • Fully close the game instead of using Quick Resume (Xbox) or Rest Mode (PS5).
