Bhutan Group Trip from India 2026: Road Trip or Bike Expedition with Deyor?
Bhutan doesn’t try to impress you. It lets the mountains do that. Prayer flags snap in the wind, monasteries sit on cliffs, and winding roads climb through pine forests to passes where the Himalayas open up in front of you.
Getting there from India is easier than many people think. Most travellers fly into Bagdogra in West Bengal and cross the border at Phuentsholing. Deyor runs two 7-night, 8-day Bhutan trips on this exact route: a relaxed group road trip and a bike expedition on Royal Enfield Himalayans.
About Deyor
Deyor is a Gurugram-based travel company founded in 2016 by Chirag Gupta and Himanshu Agarwal. It began with camping and adventure stays and now runs group trips, bike expeditions and international holidays. Deyor pitched on Shark Tank India Season 2, asking for ₹1 crore for 1% equity. It didn’t get a deal, but the appearance put the brand in front of a national audience, and Deyor still lists “Featured on Shark Tank India” in its brochures. Chirag Gupta was also named in the Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia list in 2019.
The Route
Both trips start and end at Bagdogra and follow one loop: Phuentsholing, Thimphu, Phobjikha, Punakha, Paro and back. Along the way you cross Dochula Pass (3,100 m) with its 108 memorial chortens, rest in the glacial Phobjikha Valley, see Punakha Dzong where two rivers meet, and reach Chele La Pass (3,988 m), the highest motorable point in Bhutan. The big day is the 4 to 5 hour hike to Tiger’s Nest Monastery in Paro, perched on a cliff.
Option 1: Bhutan Bound Group Road Trip (₹41,999)
This tempo traveller trip lets you enjoy the view instead of watching the road. Departures run weekly through 21 November at the time of writing. It includes stays, breakfast and dinner, sightseeing, e-permit help, an English-speaking guide, daily drinking water and the ₹1,200 per person per day Sustainable Development Fee. Airfare, lunches, drinks, personal expenses, GST (5%) and TCS (2%) are extra. Travel insurance is mandatory and you arrange it yourself. Choose it if you want a comfortable, social trip with the logistics handled.
Option 2: Bhutan Bike Expedition
If you’d rather feel the road, this version covers the same route on Royal Enfield Himalayan 411 bikes, with riding days of about 3 to 6 hours. A backup vehicle, marshal and mechanic travel with the group. It includes the bike, fuel, riding gear, permits, a guide, stays, breakfast and dinner, a Trip Captain, a hot stone bath in Paro and a cultural show. The brochure lists prices from ₹43,999 to ₹65,999 depending on your sharing option, plus GST and TCS, so confirm yours with Deyor. Choose it if riding mountain roads is the point of your trip.
Good to Know Before You Go
Carry an original passport valid for at least 6 months, and check current entry requirements with Deyor, since the brochure also lists a voter ID, photos and a vaccination certificate. Prices are for Indian nationals. Pack layers, a rain jacket and sturdy walking shoes, and bring a rucksack, since trolley bags aren’t allowed on the bike trip. Landslides can cause delays, and any extra cost is yours. Cancellations up to 30 days before departure carry a 20% fee, and later ones carry 100%, so read the terms before paying.
