Aion 2 is approaching a major pre-launch checkpoint with NC’s Launch Scale Test scheduled for September 17 and 18. The two-day event is intended to put the MMORPG’s servers and infrastructure under broader player activity before Founder’s Pack Early Access begins on September 30. Participation will be open to the public, allowing players to enter without a key or invitation. For players watching the development of Aion 2 Items, the event provides an early chance to understand the game’s basic systems, although it should not be confused with the full release version.

Download the Test Client Early

The first step for interested players is downloading the required files. The pre-download period begins at 6:00 a.m. PT on September 16 and continues until 6:00 a.m. PT on September 17. Players who finish the download before testing starts can use more of the scheduled session for actual gameplay.

The Launch Scale Test itself is divided into two sessions. The first runs from 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. PT on Thursday, September 17. The second takes place from 12:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. PT on Friday, September 18.

Progress will carry from Day 1 into Day 2. This allows players to keep using their temporary characters and continue testing instead of restarting at the beginning of the second session. However, the continuity ends when the test concludes.

Everything Is Reset After Day 2

Players should keep the progression wipe in mind throughout the event. Nothing earned during the Launch Scale Test will carry into Founder’s Pack Early Access or the full launch. Once the second testing session ends, the temporary progression will be deleted.

The wipe is consistent with the purpose of the event. NC is not simply giving players an early version of the permanent game. Instead, the company is gathering infrastructure information by allowing a large audience to interact with a controlled portion of Aion 2.

For participants, this means the test is best treated as a hands-on preview. There is no need to protect a long-term build or preserve resources for launch because none of the temporary progress will survive. Players can instead use the limited time to explore and learn.

Limited Features Keep Testing Focused

A number of systems will be unavailable during the Launch Scale Test. The shop, Quna, passes, memberships, and payment portals will all be disabled, meaning players cannot make purchases during the event.

Economic and trading functions are also restricted. The Marketplace and Quna exchange cannot be accessed, while player-to-player trading is unavailable. Founder’s Pack items will not be accessible either. These restrictions mean the test does not provide a complete picture of the eventual in-game economy.

The Closet system is disabled as well, so players will have access only to default outfits. In addition, the maximum character level is 37. Content designed for characters above that level will therefore remain unavailable during the testing period.

Preparing for the Next Stage

The conclusion of the test will not mark the end of preparation for players. Steam users must uninstall the Aion 2 Playtest App and download the separate Aion 2 client that supports Advanced Access. The Advanced Access period starts on September 30. PURPLE users do not have to take additional steps.

Players considering cheap Aion 2 Boosting later can use the Launch Scale Test to become familiar with the game before its permanent systems become active. Since the Marketplace and trading features are disabled, the event is not intended for economic preparation, but it can help players understand combat and progression fundamentals.

The September testing period therefore has a dual purpose. Players receive an early look at the MMORPG, while NC receives valuable information about server performance and infrastructure behavior under real-world conditions. Although the level cap, disabled systems, and eventual wipe limit what can be accomplished, the event remains a useful introduction to the game. With September 30 Early Access approaching, the Launch Scale Test provides one of the clearest opportunities to experience Aion 2 before permanent progression begins.
